As a mother, I'm excited he finally sent a picture with him in it.  Mark has been fighting illness since he got here.  The mission president's wife gave him some antibiotics last week and he is finally feeling better.

Hello!

This has been another awesome/absolutely crazy week in Taiwan. One Tuesday we had a ton of lessons set up but every single one of them either got canceled or the person just never showed up. One Wednesdaywe weren't able to set up any lessons either   so we decided that we would go to a few towns in our area that we have never been to, and try to find people there. It was a pretty long bike ride with some mountains we had to go through, so we started as soon as we got out the door that day. After biking fifteen miles up and down the mountains we realized that we wouldn't be able to stop at all of the places we wanted to, it was taking a lot longer than we had originally planned. So we stopped and picked witch place we wanted to go to and then continued biking for a few more miles until we were able to get there. The town ended up being a lot smaller that either of us thought. There were about fifteen tiny houses, one store and a guy selling pineapple out of the back of his truck. the entire time wee were there i probably saw about twelve people and half of them could only speak Taiwanese. Se we didn't have a ton of success in that town but it was a pretty cool to see and we defiantly got a good workout biking up and down the mountains.

Then next few days it was raining supper hard again.  it was a lot of fun but I wouldn't mind if the rain stopped for a few days. On Friday I exchanged with another Elder for the next 24 hours. Something got a little mixed up so I ended up with another elder that had been out for less than one transfer and he doesn't speak much English at all. There were a few challenges  mostly the communication barrier, but It was a ton of fun and I glad we were able to work with each other for a while.

Thank you all for everything that you do for me. I cant wait to see what this next week has in store for me and I cant wait to tell you all about it next Monday!
