Ready to teach in Taiwan

June 14, 2015

Hello!

So far think one of my favorite parts of Taiwan is all of the fruit. There is a ton of it and it all tastes amazing. Most of the people here are really nice so often when we are going from door to door the people will tell us they aren't interested and then give us something to eat. Earlier this week we contacted one street and by the time we were done we had a pineapple, a watermelon, a few guavas, three mangoes, some plums and a pumpkin. I'm not really sure what to do with the pumpkin, but the rest of it was really good.

Every day the weather keeps getting hotter and hotter. this last week has been about 40C all week and I've been told it will just keep an getting hotter. Hopefully it doesn't get to much hotter, If it does I might actually melt.

There are not many Americans here in my area. I met one person from Canada but other that that everyone is Taiwanese so I stand out quite a bit. Most people just ask if I'm from America but sometimes they will ask if I'm European and I had one kid ask me if i was Japanese..I was a little confused by that one.

Since I have gotten here I have had so many great experiences and I am so thankful that I have this chance to serve as a missionary. Thank you for all of the emails and support.
