Hello Everyone!

This was another pretty great week in Taiwan full of lots of excitement and miracles. One of the highlights of this week was exchanges with Elder Tseng.

After teaching a few lessons our plan was to go hit the streets and meet some new people. while we were inside it had started raining. Usually there are not very many people outside when it is raining  but after talking about it we decided we should still go with our original plan. for a while we didn't have much success, nobody wanted to talk to us. but then in the last ten minuets we had three different people contact us and ask us for our phone number and all of them were able to set up a time to meet. So by the time we got home for the night we were both soaking wet and exhausted from another great day full of missionary work but we were both smiling.

Here's a quick Chinese lesson for you all. there are multiple ways to say brother or sister depending on weather or not they are older than you. so older brother would be GeGe and younger brother would be DiDi. there are also multiple ways to refer to aunts, uncles grandma and grandpa dependent on what side of the family they are on and how old they are in relation to your parents. Then when you start talking about cousins things start to get really complicated. With one word I can be as specific as my dads older sisters son that is younger than I am. And then i am in Taiwan so there is a little Taiwanese mixed in there too. So in the end i think there are 4 ways to say grandpa or grandma, 4 ways to say uncle, 4 ways to say aunt and at least 8 ways to say cousin. Maybe even more.

I'm about out of time for today but thank you all of the birthday wishes. I'm a little surprised so many people remembered, I'm guessing my mom might have something to do with that. I'm sorry I don't have time to respond to all of you individually but thank you for taking the time to email me. I hope you all have a great week!
