This week has had a lot of ups and downs but overall I think it was pretty great. I was a little sick for a few days and wasn't able to do much but for the rest of the week i was able to work pretty hard. Earlier this week we were teaching on of our investigators the plan of salvation He is about 60 years old and is a professor at a school nearby. He was supper interested in everything we had to say and he was very smart. We mentioned heaven and he was suddenly talking about the diffusion of celestial matter between the different kingdoms. quite often we would be teaching about something and the he would start talking about it and we would discover that he knew much more about the subject then we did. It was a little intimidating at times. I'm just a 19 year old kid in a different country speaking a language I don't know and I am trying to teach people that are much older and wiser than I am. If I were out here doing this on my own I would have absolutely no success, but thankfully I know that I am not alone. I know that what i'm teaching is true and I know that as I do all I can I will receive help. I might be the one talking but with the help of the spirit I can know what to say and the people I teach will be able to know that truth of what we tech.
I've had so many other great experiences over these last few weeks and i have been able to meet so many incredible people. We have taught a man from Vietnam that doesn't really know much Chinese. We went to another mans house and taught him and about twenty of his friends. I've gotten to know the members of the ward and here all of there stories about how they came into the church. we have been able to talk to countless other people on the streets as we ride our bike from one place to the next. there are so many incredible things that i have heard of and have been able to experience. I cant wait to see what these next two years have in store for me.
Thank you all for your emails and support. You are all great!
