Everything has been pretty great over here. I feel so lucky to have been put into the district that I am a part of right now. Everyday I learn more about the people in my district and I feel more and more blessed to be with them. There is one Elder that is training to be a Navy Seal, another one that went all over the country to ride bulls in rodeos, another one has a you tube channel and makes thousands of dollars off of it every month, One of the sisters had a black belt in multiple forms of martial arts. I could just go on and on about all of them.
Learning Chinese is still just as difficult as ever but I've been improving a lot.
The first few lessons we taught my companion and I wrote out exactly what we would say for the entire lesson and just hope that the "investigator" didn't ask any questions. Then we decided that instead of writing out the lesson word for word we would just study everything we could on the subject so we could hopefully do a better job of answering any questions and we thought the lesson would go better if we weren't reading from a script. So we went in to teach and as far as the language is concerned we did absolutely awful. I probably mispronounced half of the words I said, I used plenty of words completely out of context and I expect a two year old would have had better grammar than i did. But overall I think it was one of the most successful lessons we have had. Because we weren't reading from a script we were able to answer all of the questions the investigator had (or at least try to) and even though the "investigator" probably didn't understand anything i said we were all able to feel the spirit in the room. So my companion and I both learned an important lesson this week. Even though we need to work hard to learn the language, it's not the most important. When it comes to teaching it isn't our words that will convert people, it is the spirit. So I'm still going to do everything I can to learn the language but its nice to know that even when my Chinese is really bad i will always have the spirit to back me up.

I hope you are all doing great and I would love to here from you all if you have the time to send a quick email :)
