March 23, 2015 Letter

Hello Everyone!

Its crazy to think that I've been here for over a month now but that means I have less than a month left before I'm done with the MTC. Its great here but I can't wait to get to Taiwan. Everyday I learn so much more, Its amazing how much we can accomplish with the lord on our side. I'm definitely not fluent yet, not even close, but I am understanding so much more now. Earlier this week we were teaching a lesson when our "investigator" asked about Lehi's vision of the tree of life and the iron rod. So I spent the next ten minutes trying my best to explain what the vision meant. I think my companion was just trying his best not to laugh at me  as I did my best to tell about the vision in Chinese. I doubt anyone understood most of what I was trying to say but in the end the "investigator" said that they understood.

Earlier this week we got a new district of Chinese speaking missionaries in our Zone, Its nice not to be the new one anymore. There are a few Missionaries in the new district that didn't have any experience with Chinese before  before the MTC. I'm one of the only other two missionaries  in the Zone that didn't know some Chinese before I got here so I've been helping them out a lot, they are all pretty smart though so I'm sure they will pass me up in no time. And they are all pretty cool so I'm glad we can have them in our zone.

Other than that I don't have much more to say.  Lately I've mostly just been going to class for ten hours a day to learn more about the gospel and Chinese. Thank you all for the Emails, I really enjoy hearing from you all. I hope you are all having a great time and I'll Email you all again next week.
